I was commissioned to design professional branding for an emerging startup, who is shaking up the procurement sector. This is a brand unlike other professional services, specifically designed for SMEs and larger organisations to remain competitive and streamlined.
Initial logo design stage
I started the process by looking at supply chains in procurement, where cost reductions would be delivered. I considered a simplified flow chart which could be developed into a brand like the examples here.
Another option was communicating a feeling of connectivity, building relationships and echoing the process of supply and demand.
Logo design development stage
The managing director’s feedback was that he was looking for something slightly simpler, maybe combining complementary typography. After a few stages, we narrowed it down to 8 variations of a similar style logo.
Application
From my initial market research, the most appropriate colours led to blues for the brand. The colour blue is often used to communicate trustworthiness and reliability. It also conveys clarity and security, and so it seemed the ideal choice for this professional service.
With the logo design finalised, we moved on to using it in applications like business cards, and onto website design and infographics.

"I used Deavall Design services for my business website and I am very happy with the result. I found Neil very proactive and capable to listen to my requirements, whilst still being able to advise what works and what doesn't. I will work with him again in the future for the design of brochures."
